At the foundation of both companies stands Mr. Andrew Simmons, a builder, innovator, and mentor whose vision has guided the organization for over 30 years. He founded Lashay’s Construction & Development Co., Inc. in 1994 with a clear purpose — to build the future through craftsmanship, accountability, and opportunity.

From its origins as a small contracting firm, Lashay’s has grown into a $15 million general contracting, subcontracting, and construction-management enterprise, headquartered in Yonkers, New York. Its team has completed projects across the Tri-State area spanning transportation, infrastructure, commercial, and residential markets. In 2014, recognizing the need for mill-direct material sourcing and more responsive service, Mr. Simmons established A&S Rebar, Inc. This second company extended the Lashay’s family into steel manufacturing and fabrication, providing clients with estimating, detailing, bending, and delivery of rebar and accessories.

The creation of A&S Rebar allowed both firms to serve clients more completely — aligning planning, production, and performance under one strategic vision.
